Press release archive

Intergalactic will provide thermal management systems for passenger and pilot comfort and regulate the temperatures of critical electrical systems, avionics equipment, and batteries for Eve's fleet of urban air mobility vehicles

ST.GEORGE, Utah – November 6, 2023 – Intergalactic, maker of the most advanced next-generation thermal management systems, today announced the company has been selected as the thermal management systems supplier for Eve Air Mobility (NYSE: EVEX; EVEXW), leader in the development of next-generation urban air mobility (UAM) aircraft.

The selection follows a rigorous procurement process as Eve prepares to ramp toward certification, entry into service, and large-scale production of its electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. Intergalactic will provide advanced, lightweight thermal management systems to ensure passenger and pilot comfort and precise temperature control for critical electrical systems, avionics equipment, and batteries for Eve’s fleet of UAM vehicles.

“We are honored and humbled to partner with Eve to build an eVTOL platform that will transform urban transportation around the world,” says Intergalactic CEO Brian McCann. “Eve brings tremendous competence and relevant experience to the table, and we are fully committed to working together to develop a safe, efficient aircraft for the whole world to enjoy. Reliable, innovative thermal systems are vital to this effort, and we couldn’t be more thrilled for this partnership to take flight.”

Founded in 2016, Intergalactic has pioneered the development of smaller, lighter, and higher performing thermal management systems for the defense aerospace, civil aviation, and commercial space sectors. Intergalactic has a strong track record of internal research and development to support emerging and next-generation applications in aviation and space. In June, Intergalactic announced the launch of GS1-EV Eagle5, the first off-the-shelf thermal management system for eVTOL and electric aircraft.

Eve is supported by Embraer’s 50 years of successful development, delivery, and certification of regional aircraft around the world and leads all eVTOL airframers nearly 3,000 eVTOL orders.

Electrification is a major trend in aviation, and UAM is a primary use case. Morgan Stanley projects the global UAM market to reach $1 trillion in market value by 2040 and $9 trillion by 2050 as the technology matures and adoption becomes ubiquitous.
